Willie S. Green, known affectionately as Willie, peacefully passed away on June 18, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 86. He was born on April 12, 1938, in Grenada, Mississippi, to his loving parents, Eddie Green Sr. and Ora Lee Green. Willie was a devoted father to his children Charles, Lee, Sharon, Reginald, MiGuale, Monica, Michael, Nickie, April, Shawn, Marilyn Burks, Shelia Green and Willie Burks. He was also a cherished grandfather to 16 grandchildren and a beloved great-grandfather to 29 great-grandchildren. Willie is survived by his siblings Juanita Arnold, George Green, Barbara Burton, Hazel Robinson, Melvin Green, Charles Green, Bettye Okitipi, Helen Green, and Sharron Green, Joseph Green.

Throughout his life, Willie was known for his dedication to his family and his unwavering love and support for his children and grandchildren. He worked diligently to provide for his family and create a loving home for them. Willie's legacy lives on in the hearts of all who knew him, as his kindness and generosity touched many lives.

Willie's quiet strength and gentle nature endeared him to all who had the privilege of knowing him. He was a man of few words, but his actions spoke volumes about the depth of his character and the love he had for his family.

A Memorial Service to honor and celebrate the life of Willie S. Green is scheduled to take place at a later date. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for all the love and support they have received during this difficult time.
