Virginia Calhoun, a loving mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully at the age of 68 on May 15, 2025, surrounded by her family in her home. Born in Norton, Kansas on July 25, 1956, Virginia was the daughter of Willie B. Calhoun, Sr. and Arma Jean Rhymes, her parents and her brothers, Ricky Calhoun and sisters Janet Johnson, And Alice Porter, all preceded her in death.

Virginia is survived by her devoted daughter, Patience Thomas, along with her brothers Willie B. Calhoun, Jr., Donald Calhoun, and Wesley Calhoun. She also leaves behind a legacy of love in her 6 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.

Throughout her life, Virginia's dedication to her family was unmatched. She found joy in spending time with her loved ones, creating cherished memories that will be treasured forever. Virginia's kind and nurturing spirit touched the lives of all who knew her, making her a pillar of strength and support.

In her professional life, Virginia excelled in her career, demonstrating hard work and perseverance in all that she pursued.

Virginia's impact extended beyond her family and career as she actively contributed to her community, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her compassion and generosity knew no bounds, and her legacy will continue to inspire others to follow in her footsteps.

Friends and family are invited to pay their respects at Virginia's funeral service, which will be held on May 30, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Progressive Missionary Baptist Church.
