In Loving Memory of Torrey Eugene Hudspeth
July 31, 1975 – August 24, 2026
It is with profound sadness and loving remembrance that we announce the passing of Torrey Eugene Hudspeth, who departed this life on August 24, 2026, at the age of 51.
Torrey was born on July 31, 1975, to Shaun Springfield and Arnold (Freda) Hudspeth. He was educated in the Wichita, Kansas, USD 259 school system and attended Wichita Heights High School, where he proudly played football. He later attended and graduated from Independence Community College.
Torrey devoted 15 years of loyal and dedicated service to Spirit AeroSystems, from which he retired. Throughout his life, Torrey was known as a kind, loyal, and devoted family man and friend to many. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always tried to look on the positive side of life. Torrey never met a stranger, and his warm spirit and genuine kindness allowed him to make friends wherever he went.
Above all, Torrey cherished his family. He leaves to carry on his memory his beloved children: sons Torrey Hudspeth, Taylor Hudspeth, and Tristan Hudspeth; daughter Shaayla Means; and grandchildren Anastasia and Mila. He is also survived by his siblings, Todd Hudspeth, Gregory Hudspeth, Nathan Darden, and Diana Scott, along with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends who will forever remember and miss him. Torrey was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Nadine and Eugene Hudspeth; maternal grandparents, Helen and William Springfield; aunts, Yvonne and Pam Hudspeth; uncles, Bernie, Kevin, and Norman Hudspeth; and cousin, Tyler Townsend.
Torrey’s life touched many people, and his laughter, kindness, loyalty, and positive spirit will remain in the hearts of all who knew and loved him. Though he is no longer with us, the memories he created and the love he gave will live on through his children, granddaughters, family, and friends.
May Torrey Eugene Hudspeth rest peacefully, forever remembered and deeply loved.
