Sterling Brooks, known affectionately as "Sterling" by his loved ones, passed away on February 11, 2024, at the age of 66 Born on October 6, 1957, in Topeka, Kansas, to the proud parents Sterling Brooks, Sr. and Wilma Jean Small-Brooks, he leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. Sterling will be deeply missed by his surviving family members, including his brother Ramon Charles Williams, and sisters Carmen Brooks and Dianne Barber. His presence will be profoundly felt by all those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A proud veteran, Sterling served his country in the United States Marines, embodying the values of honor, courage, and commitment. His dedication to his service and his community was an inspiration to many, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

In his spare time, Sterling enjoyed spending moments with his family and friends, immersing himself in his favorite hobbies, and pursuing his interests. His warmth, kindness, and sense of humor endeared him to all who crossed his path, making him a cherished figure in the lives of many.

A service to honor and celebrate Sterling's life will be held on Friday, March 9, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the North Ash Church of Nazarene. All who knew and loved Sterling are welcome to pay their respects and share in the remembrance of his remarkable life.
