Russell B. Embray, Jr., passed away on April 26, 2024, at the age of 63, in the comfort of his own home.  He was born on September 24, 1960, in Wichita, Kansas to his late parents, Russell B. Embray, Sr. and Emogene Haywood-Harris.

Russell is survived by his loving children, daughter Jazzmyn Embray and son Nehemiah Embray. He was a dedicated father and cherished his children deeply.

Russell was a high school graduate who further pursued his passion for culinary arts by attending Culinary School. He was a talented chef who found joy in creating delicious dishes and sharing them with others. His culinary skills brought delight to many and left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to taste his creations.  In addition to his culinary pursuits, Russell was known for his warm and friendly personality. He had a kind heart and a generous spirit, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. His presence brought comfort and joy to those around him, and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Funeral Service to honor and celebrate Russell's life will be held on May 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM, at the Jackson Mortuary Chapel. Family and friends are invited to join together to remember Russell and share memories of his life. Russell's passing leaves a void in the hearts of his loved ones, but his memory will live on through the kindness and love he shared throughout his life. May he rest in peace, and may his legacy continue to inspire those who knew him.
