Obituary

Rosetta Autry Polite born on January 7, 1931, in Okmulgee, Oklahoma passed away on March 27, 2023, in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 92. Rosetta was born to Abner Fields Sr. and Essie B. Fields.  She was the first of eight living children born to this union as six of her siblings did not survive.  Her parents were devoted, caring and family-oriented farmers demonstrating good work ethics and core Christian values.

Rosetta retired from Cessna Aircraft Co, a cook at the old Cudahy Meat Packing Company, Caregiver and worked for the Oppenheim Family.  She was devoted to her family and was a faithful member at the St. James Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas.

Survived by sons; James Autry of Wichita, Ks, Curtiss Autry of Goddard, Kansas, David Autry and Julius Autry of Wichita, Kansas.

Daughters; Gerline Horton, Earline Sexton of Wichita, Ks and Stepdaughter Sedalia Bentley of Jackson, Mississippi.

Brother Carl (Elma) Fields of McKinney, Texas

Sister Annie (Clemmie) Austin of Grandview, Missouri

Host of nieces, nephews, friends adopted in the family, friends and the St. James Missionary Baptist Church.

and Henry L. Fields, Sister Bobbie J Bryant.
