Actor, singer, and voice-over artist, Robin R. McGee passed away on March 5, 2025, in Savanah Georgia at age 50. She was born June 28, 1974, in Wichita, Kansas. A cherished soul within her community, Robin left a lasting impact. Her warm spirit and lighthearted humor touched the hearts of everyone she encountered. She received her formal education in Wichita where she graduated from Northwest High School, attended Friends University, where she studied musical theatre, and Wichita State University where she studied theatre performance.

Robin's last role was her powerhouse performance as Martha Watson in Irving Berlin's White Christmas at the Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire, Illinois. She mesmerized the audience with the show-stopping number Let Me Sing and I'm Happy. Before this role, she was last seen as Eula Ebitt in The Coffin Maker, a world premiere at the Pittsburgh Public Theatre and later as Connie in Exit Laughing at The Studio Theatre Tierra Del Sol in The Villages, FL. She also starred in the one woman show Fannie: The Music and Life of Fannie Lou Hamer. She began the role as Fannie at Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre in Atlanta and won the 2022 Suzi Bass Award for the role. She later closed the three city tour as Fannie at Actors Theatre of Louisville, ending in Pittsburgh, PA with City Theatre performing at the August Wilson's African American Culture Center.

Robin also showcased her art with other theater roles, including Matilida "Tillie" Binks in "Guess Who's Coming to Dinner" at Flat Rock Playhouse in Flat Rock, NC, Anne Marie in A Doll's House, Mrs. Dorgan in Laura, Asaka in Once on This Island and the world premiere of Shattering as Dee Dee, all performed in Seattle and Tacoma, WA.

Robin had also been actively working as a voice actor since 2005. She has worked for a diverse pool of clients and brands, such as Andy's Frozen Custard and Euphoria Chocolate Company. She was also an accomplished voice-over actress and narrator of books on Audible.

Robin always dedicated her performances to her grandmother Fronie Johnson, and to her mother Regina Johnson, who both made God and music the foundation of her life. She was a gifted performance artist and a kind-hearted individual with an infectious smile. She captivated audiences with her powerful performances, earning recognition for her exceptional talent and artistry. She embodied a myriad of characters on stage, each portrayed with grace and emotional depth, leaving a lasting impression on all who witnessed her award-winning work.  Her unexpected departure has created a profound void for colleagues and fans alike. As we reflect on the legacy of Robin McGee, we celebrate the beautiful soul she was and the indelible mark she made in the world of performance, inspiring all of us to create and share beauty in our own lives.

Robin had been an active member of the congregation and music ministry of Tacoma Christian Center in Tacoma, WA. She currently was a member of the Rehoboth Christian Ministries under the spiritual leadership of Pastor D. E. F. Thomas in Pooler, GA.
