It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Robert Lynn Burton Jr. Robert departed from this world on April 7, 2025, in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas at the age of 61.

Born on December 7, 1963, in Wichita, Kansas, Robert was the cherished son of Robert Lynn Burton, Sr. and Betty Jewel Washington, who have gone before him. He was a beloved father to Marcus, Elizabeth, Tina, Sean, Hector, Melissa, and Porfirio. Robert is also survived by his siblings Diane, Brenda, Susan, Tina, and Robert II, as well as 8 grandchildren.

Robert was a man of many talents and interests. He pursued education with passion and dedication, ultimately laying the foundation for a successful career. He found joy in his work and took great pride in his accomplishments.

Throughout his life, Robert made meaningful contributions to his community and society at large. His generosity and compassion touched the lives of many, and his legacy of kindness will endure for years to come. He was known for his integrity, reliability, and willingness to help others in need.

Those who knew Robert best will remember him for his warmth, his humor, and his unwavering loyalty to those he loved. He had a way of brightening any room with his presence and his infectious smile. Robert's compassion knew no bounds, and his absence will be deeply felt by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

In honor of Robert's memory and his life well-lived, a service to celebrate his legacy will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2025 at 10:00AM at the New Jerusalem Baptist Church.
