Rebecca "Becky" Lynne Wormington Franklin, fondly known as Becky to her loved ones, peacefully passed away on February 15, 2024, at the age of 61. She was born on August 16, 1962, and was a cherished member of the community throughout her life. Becky leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion in the hearts of her surviving family members, including her children Johnny Franklin Jr, Nichole Baker, and David Baker, as well as her beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Johnny Franklin Sr. and other family members who we know are welcoming her with open arms into the afterlife.
A devoted mother and grandmother, Becky's family was the light of her life. She poured her heart and soul into nurturing and supporting her children and grandchildren, leaving a lasting impact on each of their lives.
Becky was a woman of many talents and interests. She had a passion for gardening and could often be found tending to her flowers with a smile on her face. Her green thumb was legendary among her friends and neighbors, and her garden was a testament to her dedication and skill.
In addition to her love for gardening, Becky was also known for her kind and compassionate nature. She had a way of making everyone feel welcome and loved in her presence, and her warm smile could brighten even the darkest of days.
A service to celebrate Becky's life will be held on Friday, March 1, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Shiloh Baptist Church. All who knew and loved her are invited to attend and pay their respects to a woman who touched so many lives in her time on this earth.
Becky will forever be remembered for her unwavering love, her gentle spirit, and her infectious laughter. She leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Rest in peace, Becky. You will be dearly missed, but your memory will forever be cherished by those who were lucky enough to have you in their lives. May your soul find peace and eternal happiness in the arms of the angels.
