Obituary

Raymond Cohee Jr. passed away peacefully on January 28, 2024, at the age of 76. He was born on September 6, 1946, in Wichita, Kansas to his loving parents. Raymond, also known as Ray, was a cherished member of his community and will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Raymond was a United States Army veteran, serving his country with honor and dedication. After his military service, he pursued a career as a Human Resources Specialist, demonstrating his strong work ethic and commitment to helping others. His professional accomplishments were admirable, but it was his kindness and compassion that truly made him remarkable.

Outside of his professional life, Raymond had an array of hobbies and interests. Raymond had a special talent for connecting with others and was known for his captivating storytelling abilities. He had a gift for making everyone feel understood and valued.

Raymond was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jacqueline Cohee. Although he faced the immense pain of her loss, he remained resilient and found solace in the memories they shared. Raymond leaves behind a daughter Jaime Cohee and a cherished network of Siblings Nannie Cohee-Davis, Mary (Moses) Williams, Martha Hayes, Teresa Cohee, 4 Grandchildren, 2 Great-Grandchildren family and friends who will forever carry his memory in their hearts. While we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate the wonderful life he lived. His legacy of kindness, love, and generosity will continue to inspire us all.

A funeral service in memory of Raymond Cohee Jr. will be held on Friday, February 16, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Jackson Mortuary Chapel.
