Quintero T.
Tuggle "Qt"
August 13, 1943 – February 26, 2025
Quintero T. Tuggle was born as Quentin Thomas Tuggle a.k.a. Q.T. on August 13,1943 to Melvin Tuggle and Matilda Francis in Oklahoma City, OK.
Q.T. is preceded in death by his parents; brothers: Beaden Hope, Oklahoma City, OK; Jerry Tuggle and Curtis Hughes of Wichita, KS; Donald Ray Tuggle and Melvin Tuggle, Phoenix, AZ; and sisters; Sarah Louise (Hope)Williams of Henrietta, OK; Tony Christine (Hope) Ransom of Rancho Cardona, CA; Willamena and Margaret Hughes of Wichita, KS; Shirley and June Tuggle of Phoenix, AZ.
Q.T. leaves to cherish his memory his son Quentin Thomas Tuggle, CA; daughters: Christine, Wichita, KS; Cristal and Juan of CA; step daughter: Shawn of CA; brothers: Ivory (Mankeum) Tuggle, San Jose, CA; G.L. (Shin) Tuggle of Sacramento, CA; Herman (Gwen) Tuggle, Wichita, KS; Timmy (Velma) Tuggle and sister, Eula Faye Tuggle, Phoenix, AZ; companion; Pauline Berry, Marana, AZ; six grandchildren, a number of nieces and nephews and friends throughout the country.
Q.T. attended local schools throughout Wichita graduating with a GED as part of program in the U.S. Army. While in the Army he completed a tour in Viet Nam and was trained to work in the field of aircraft. Upon returning to Wichita, he began to put his military training to use. Q.T. worked over 40 years in the aircraft industry as a mechanic, a sheet medalist and an OJT Instructor with the latter 19 years as a contractor. It was a profession that equipped him to work a couple of tours overseas as well as several states throughout the U.S. inclusive of California, Arizona and Kansas. While in Wichita, there were times he could be found asleep in the restroom by his supervisor and friend, Lillie A. Peters. It's a story he would often tell when reminiscing about his experiences at Boeing. It was a routine that stopped only after Lillie informed his mother.
Q.T. inherited the physical statute of his daddy and the gift of visitation from his mother. Although he lived in Marana over 20 years, he visited Wichita often throughout those years. The year before last, he stayed approximately 6 weeks visiting everyone he could find from back in the day. Mamie Hogan at Music and More, Ted Holt and David Reynolds to name a few along with his usual visit to the Laundry Mat located at 13th and Hydraulic. Each evening, he would sit with his sister-in-law, Gwen, and share all that he had experienced, all that he had learned and what was said. He knew more about the folks in Wichita than she did. When he was unable to visit, he would make calls and talk for hours.
Q.T. not only spent time with his friends but with all his nieces and nephews no matter what the age—a pastime he seemed to cherish.
After an extensive illness, Q.T., the motorcycle rider, the auto lover, transitioned on Wednesday, February 26, 2025, at the Tucson V.A. Hospital.
