Phyllis Jane McDonald - Tillman, known fondly by many as "Phyllis," passed away peacefully on March 2, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 85. She was born on June 12, 1938, in Wichita, Kansas, to her loving parents John Willie McDonald and Lillian O. Cherry. Phyllis is now reunited with her beloved husband Louis Tillman, who had preceded her in death. She is also greeted in the afterlife by her dear parents. Phyllis leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories to her surviving children, Lillian E. Baker and Dimarco L. Lamar.

Phyllis dedicated her working years as a dedicated Laundry Attendant, retiring after years of hard work. In her free time, she enjoyed hobbies such as gardening, baking, and spending time with her family. Phyllis was known for her warm smile, kind heart, and unwavering generosity that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Throughout her life, Phyllis made countless contributions to her community through her acts of kindness and compassion. Her selfless nature and willingness to help others made her a pillar of strength to those around her. Phyllis will be remembered for her strong spirit, resilience, and the love she shared with everyone she encountered.

The family will be holding a private service to celebrate Phyllis' life and legacy. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice in Phyllis' honor.
