Pauline Virginia
Pace
September 30, 1926 – February 3, 2023
Pauline Virginia Pace entered this world September 30, 1926, in Camden,
Arkansas. God saw that her work was done, and he called her home on
February 3, 2023. She was the last surviving child of seven, born to the
late Mr. Luther and the late Mrs. Nannie Kilgore Hopson. She confessed.
Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior and was baptized at an early age at
Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Rev. Lester in
Camden, Arkansas.
Her faith was continuously made evident in her actions and her trust in
God. She was educated at Lincoln High School in Camden, Arkansas
Ouachita County where she graduated in May 1945. She was the
Matriarch of her family. She governed her family with Divine Christianity
and laid the foundation for her family to build from. She provided
leadership, instilled moral values, and gave untiring support which resulted
in her husband and children being successful as Teachers, Nurses, Retired
Air Force, Navy, and Army Veterans, Printer Technician, Commercial Driver
License (CDL) driver, and herself as a Teacher Assistant at the Corinthian
Day Care Center in Wichita, Kansas.
She was always willing to give to others, never expecting anything back.
She enjoyed planting flowers and beautifying everything she touched. Her
boldness and strength of character will be surely missed by her survivors.
Pauline often spoke of the time when she first met our dad at a young age.
he winked his eye at her, and she stuck her tongue out at him,
then came marriage. On February 8, 1946.
the late Frank T. Pace and Pauline V. Hopson were united in Holy
matrimony in Camden, Arkansas. To this union six children were born.
One child, Thelma Y. Jones preceded her in death.
She leaves to lament her passing sons, Mark L. Pace (Deona), of Kansas
City, Missouri, Frank T. Pace Jr. of Lemoore, California, Michael W. Pace Sr.
of Wichita, Kansas; daughters, Kathryn D. Robinson, Kathy K. Pace both of
