Patty Laynell Brown-Smart, 86, of Wichita, Kansas passed away peacefully on June 17,2026.  She was born on January 7th, 1940, in Winfield, Kansas, to the late Richard and Inez Brown.  She was preceded in death by her beloved parents and son, Marc Blaine Smart.  Patty’s memory will be forever held close by those she leaves behind. She is survived by her devoted daughters, Tami Hail (Smart) husband Carl Hail, and Gale Smart-Flowers. She also leaves behind her adored grandchildren, Gelisha Black, Kaylynn McClish, and Roderick Walker wife Rahma Walker, along with a host of great-grandchildren who brought immense joy to her life.  A Memorial Celebration to honor Patty's life and legacy will be held on Saturday, August 22, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate her journey at The Center, located at 1914 E 11th St N.
