Norma Jean
Williams
April 14, 1955 – July 15, 2024
Norma Jean Jones-Williams, affectionately known as "Peaches," brought light and love to everyone she touched throughout her remarkable journey. Born on April 14, 1955, in Crenshaw, Mississippi, to Sam Jones and Ruthie May Jackson, Norma's life was a testament to faith and perseverance.
From a young age, Norma embraced her spirituality, finding solace and purpose at McNeil Missionary Baptist Church. She pursued her education with vigor, graduating from Rosa Fort High School in Tunica, Mississippi, and later pursuing her dreams at Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado Springs, where she earned certification in electronic board assembly, a testament to her determination and intellect.
Fate led Norma to Wichita, Kansas, where she embarked on a fulfilling career in healthcare as a Certified Nurse Assistant for two decades. Her dedication and kindness touched countless lives, leaving an indelible mark on anyone who knew her.
In her 25 years of marriage to Hardy Williams, Norma found a partner whose love mirrored her own warmth and generosity. She helped raise a beautiful family, including her children Tarsha Fisher, Thako Rucker, and Michael Registe, stepsons Stacey and Brandon Williams, and a host of grandchildren—Edwin, Demarcus, Emanuel, Arionia, Khaliyah, Rachel, Malacai, Mallory, Malcolm, and one on the way—and great-grandchildren Derrick, Ashton, Marcus, Zayden, Shaquille, and Gabriel.
Norma's legacy of love extends beyond her immediate family to her siblings—Kelly, Cetina, Ida, Ella, Shirley, Essie, Pauline, Christine, Richard, Tedgri, Sam, and Johnny—and a wide circle of cherished family and friends who will forever carry her memory in their hearts.
While we mourn her passing, let us celebrate Norma's life—an embodiment of strength, compassion, and unwavering faith. Her journey reminds us to embrace each moment with love and grace, just as she did. Norma Jean Jones-Williams, our beloved "Peaches," has left a legacy that will continue to inspire us all.
