It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Melvin Mallory, who departed this world at the age of 64. He was born on February 2, 1960, in Detroit, Michigan to the late Henry Mallory and Glad Ford.

He peacefully passed away on August 29, 2024, surrounded by his family at his home in Wichita, Kansas.

Melvin is survived by his beloved wife, June McGill-Mallory, who stood by his side through thick and thin. He was a devoted father to his children: Maria Welch, Michael Parks Mallory, and Dontese Lawrence.  Additionally, he leaves behind a legacy of love through his bonus children, Shena Dreyfus, Sheema Wilkins, James Owens.

Proceeded in death by bonus daughter Shawndrica Wilkins.

He was also a source of strength and guidance to his siblings: Verdell Jackson, Lonnie Mallory, Henry Mallory Jr., Emmanuel Mallory, Ernest Mallory, Patricia Daniel, Anita Chittlden, and Selicia Mallory.

A service to celebrate Melvin's life will be held on Friday, September13, 2024 3:00PM Jackson Mortuary Chapel.

As we bid farewell to Melvin, we take solace in the memories we shared with him and the love he brought into our lives. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will live on in our hearts forever. Rest in peace
