Maccyne L. Johnson, passed away peacefully on August 2, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 92. She was born on September 19, 1931, in El Reno, Oklahoma, to her parents Mack M. Pickett and Mozelle Woodard-Pickett.

Maccyne is survived by her beloved children Darrell Johnson, Ilana Little, Brian Johnson, and Brent Johnson, her dear sister Sharon J. Parker, along with 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Maccyne held a Masters Degree in Education and dedicated many years to teaching in the USD259 school district. Her passion for education touched the lives of countless students who were fortunate to have her as their teacher. She made significant contributions to her community through her dedication to shaping young minds and fostering a love for learning.

Those who knew Maccyne will always remember her for her kindness, patience, and unwavering commitment to her family and students. She had a special way of making everyone feel valued and inspired to reach their full potential. Her legacy will live on through the generations of students whose lives she touched.

A service to celebrate Maccyne's life will take place on Saturday, August 17, 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Jackson Mortuary Chapel. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery, where she will be surrounded by the beauty of nature she always cherished.

Rest in peace, dear Maccyne. Your kindness and wisdom will be deeply missed, but your spirit will live on in the hearts of all those who were lucky enough to know you.
