Lucille Portley, peacefully passed away on August 3, 2024, at the age of 59. She was born on June 4, 1965, in Wichita, Kansas, to her loving parents James Ray Portley and Zerdine Bryant. Lucy is survived by her two children, Akayla K. Portley-Steward and Qiana A. Portley-Steward, as well as her cherished grandchild. She also leaves behind her brothers and sisters, Clifton Portley, Lizzie Bishop, Eva J. Smith, James Portley, and Valerie Miller-James.

A service to honor and celebrate Lucy's life will be held on Saturday, August 31, 2024, at 11:00 AM at New Life Church, followed by her burial at Old Mission Cemetery.

Lucy will forever be remembered for her resilience, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She touched the lives of many and leaves behind a legacy of kindness and compassion that will never be forgotten. May she rest in peace, knowing she was deeply loved and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
