Liza was born on October 8, 1949, in Tippo, MS, to the late Henry Jr. and Ester Reed. She grew up in Tippo surrounded by her loving family.  She attended elementary school in Tippo and Allen Carver High School in Charleston, MS. In 1969, Liza moved to Wichita, KS, where she built a life defined by hard work and devotion to her family.

Liza held a variety of positions before discovering her passion for aviation, dedicating over thirty years as a sheet metal mechanic before retiring from Hawker Beechcraft Inc.

Beyond her professional success, she was a woman of many talents—an avid gardener, a creative crafter, and a gifted cook who loved nothing more than hosting family holidays and creating memories with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Liza enjoyed gospel music, attending church conventions, soap operas and show casing her beautiful flower gardens. She took pride in caring for her family, keeping her home meticulous, decorating and fashion.

On December 20, 1994, she married Samuel Williams. Together, they shared a life of travel across the country, watching western shows and cooking. At an early age, Liza confessed her faith in Christ and attended True Bible Way Church of Tippo, MS under the leadership of the late Bishop F.M. Dawson and later joined True Bible Way Church of Wichita under the leadership of Bishop James L. Dawson. Her faith never wavered and she served quietly, faithfully, and with grace.

On Sunday evening, January 25, 2026, Mrs. Liza Williams entered the heavenly Church triumphant.  She joins her Heavenly Father and a great cloud of witnesses who preceded her. Those who love her will count the days they knew her as blessed; and will miss her every single day until they meet again.

Liza is preceded in death by her loving parents and siblings: Classie Mae, Isia, Samuel, Lethanial, Rose, and George.

Liza leaves to cherise her precious memories her husband, Samuel Williams; her children  Donna Reed, Tawanna Oliver (Trent), and Maurice Reed all of Wichita, KS and Cathy Reed of Junction City , KS and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren and her siblings:  Lucy Reed, Costello (Doretha) Reed, Mariah (Willie) Fletcher, Henry Lee (Dreena) Reed III, Earnest Reed, Annie Reed, Bernard (Sherry) Reed, Benita Reed, and Milton Earl (Michelle) Reed all of Wichita, KS, Ann (Albert) Price of Indianapolis, IN and Dennis Drain of Tippo, MS and sister-in-laws:  Lucinda Reed and Faye Brown, special friend, Louise Pickin and a host of family and friends.

Liza will be remembered for her unwavering support and gentle wisdom. Her legacy lives on through her family and those whose lives she touched with her kindness, faith and giving heart.  May she rest in eternal peace, her memory forever cherished and her faith forever honored.
