Linda K.
Walker
April 16, 1957 – October 21, 2023
Linda K. Walker was born on April 16, 1957, in Wichita, Kansas, to Sylvester Collins and Meldra Collins. She attended public elementary school in Wichita, Kansas. The family then moved to St. Louis, Missouri. She attended elementary and middle school; and also attended church school at Sunnydale Academy.
The family moved back to Wichita in 1975. Linda finished high school at Wichita High School East. She went on to further her education and received her certification as a Phlebotomist.
Linda accepted Jesus Christ as her Personal Savior at an early age. She was a member of Three Angels Seventh-Day (SDA) Adventist Church of Wichita, Kansas. Linda held the position of Deaconess. She truly loved the Lord. She would always say "Remember the Seventh Day and keep it holy;" as well as, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me!"
She was united into marriage to Billy Walker on September 20, 1991. They were married for thirty-two years before she passed away. The union brought together five children. Linda had three children, Tara S. Dawson, LaTasha R. Dawson, and Ronald P. Dawson, Jr.; and Billy had two children, Lynne A.D. Walker, and Billy G. Walker, II.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Sylvester and Meldra Collins; her grandsons, Devante Dawson, Dashea Dawson, and Daveon Mitchell.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband, Billy Walker; her sons, Ronald Dawson, Jr., and Billy Walker, II, both of Wichita, Kansas; her daughters, Tara Dawson of Kansas City, Missouri, LaTasha (Eugene) Nicholson of Wichita, Kansas, and Lynne A.D. Walker of Dallas, Texas; her sisters, Vanessa (Jimmy) Richards, of Wichita, Kansas, and Angela (Larry) Sanders of Wichita; her brother, Anthony (Eunice) Collins of Chicago, Illinois; her sixteen grandchildren; her twelve great-grandchildren; along with her aunts, uncles, and a host of relatives and friends.
