It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lajetta Gant - Normore, aged 59, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Lajetta was born on August 23, 1964, in Independent, Louisiana to her parents Thomas Gant and Barbara Gordon. She peacefully departed from this world on August 19, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas.

Lajetta is survived by her loving husband Tavis Normore, devoted children Shasta Bolden, Breande Foreman, Shaunte Foreman, Martez Ricks, and Five cherished grandchildren. She is also survived by her parents, siblings Terrell Wesley, Tonietta Henderson, Sherrie Gant, Gina Smith, Robin Gant, Shelise Gant, Sandra Mayfield, and a host of other relatives and friends.

Lajetta dedicated herself to her work at Spirit Aerosystems as an FAA Designee

A service to celebrate Lajetta's life will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM at St. Mark UMC, followed by her interment at Lakeview Cemetery.

She will be deeply missed but her spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
