In loving memory of Mr. Korté Lamar Dawson, Sr., who was born on March 19, 1977, in Wichita, Kansas to his loving parents, and passed away peacefully on February 5, 2026, in the very same city that had been his home for 48 years. He leaves us to join his dear brother Darrea Dawson in the next life.

Korté was a beacon of light to those who knew him. He was an individual who chose to dedicate his life to the service of others, providing care and assistance through the 1st Light Home Care as a dedicated Care Attendant.

Outside of his work, Korté was a loving father, a cherished son, and a doting grandfather. He was a pillar of strength to his siblings and a source of joy to his many friends. His legacy lives on in his beloved children and grandchildren, who will carry forward his values of compassion, resilience, and love.

We invite you to join us as we bid our final farewell to Korté at his Funeral Service to be held on Saturday February 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM at the Greater New Testament. He will be laid to rest at Old Mission/Wichita Park Cemetery. The family wishes to express their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
