It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Kipothy Lamont Chapell "Kip", who peacefully left this world on March 4, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 62. Kipothy was born on August 23, 1963, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to parents James and Gloriastene Moore-Chappell. Kipothy was a beloved husband to Stacie, a devoted father to Malik, Imani & Kristian Chappell, a caring brother to Charles Chapell and sister Twana Chappell-Brooks.

A retired Air Force Military Veteran and former Robert J. Dole Medical Center employee, Kipothy dedicated his life to serving his country and community. His selflessness and commitment to helping others will always be remembered.

A service to honor and celebrate Kipothy's life will be held on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at 11:00 AM at North Heights Christian Church (No Viewing at Church Service), Burial Maple Grove Cemetery in Wichita, Kansas.
