Obituary

Keith Edward Johnson passed away July 28th at the age of 57. Born on June 29th, 1968, in Dallas, Texas, Keith carried his hometown in his heart—especially when it came to his beloved Dallas Cowboys. He lived a life marked by unwavering service, devotion, and brotherhood. His laugh was infectious, his presence grounding, and his love immeasurable.

Keith served his country with courage and dignity in the United States Air Force for 21 years. His commitment to protecting others extended far beyond the military. He was a protector of his family, a loyal friend to many, and a proud member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc.

Keith is survived by his wife, Tamara Huff-Johnson; his parents, Regina and Willie Henderson and Bill and Mozelle Johnson; his children Cameron Brown (wife-Briana), Antonio Lee, Stephan Johnson (wife-Olivia), Kamala Johnson, Jordan Ray, Sr., and Morgan Henderson. Siblings: Monica Johnson, Ivan Hughes, Darryl Hughes, Brandon Johnson (wife-Danielle), Chynna Johnson, Theresa Beverly, Michael Henderson, Karen Henderson, and Todd Barnes. His mother- and father-in-law, Betty and Tom Arnold, and sisters-in-law Genine Ware, Angela Jackson, LeeAnn Reliford, Tonya Oaks (husband-Crockett, Sr.), Johonna (husband -Anthony), and Asia Arnold. He was 'Papa Keith' to nine grandchildren to whom he brought joy and laughter that will echo through generations. He will be missed by an extended clan of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, frat brothers, and friends.

The Omega Psi Phi Memorial Service and visitation with family will be on Monday, August 18, 2025, at 6:00 pm in the Jackson Mortuary Chapel.

A service to honor and celebrate Keith's life will be held on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at 11:00 am at St. James Missionary Baptist Church.
