Karen Washington-Qureshi, lovingly known as Karen, peacefully passed away on April 17, 2024, in Manhattan, Kansas, at the age of 58. She was born on September 3, 1965, in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, to the late Claudine Markham. Karen is survived by her devoted father, James Washington Sr., her beloved son Antonio Roberts, her 4 cherished grandchildren, and her dear sisters Wanda Roland (Steven), Yvonne Markham (Jamon), and Mark Walker (Paris).
Throughout her life, Karen excelled in her career as an Employment Specialist, making a positive impact on the lives of many through her work at Big Lakes Development. Her dedication to helping others and her commitment to her community will always be remembered.
Karen was a remarkable individual, known for her kindness, compassion, and unwavering strength. Her warm smile and caring nature touched the hearts of all who knew her. She had a gift for making everyone feel valued and loved.
A service to celebrate Karen's life will be held on Saturday, May 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Greater Pentecostal Church. Her memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
In this time of grieving, let us remember Karen for the light she brought into the world and the love she shared with everyone around her. She will be deeply missed but forever cherished.
