Karen Barnes-Blake, lovingly known as Karen, passed away on March 1, 2024, at the age of 65. She was born on January 21, 1959, in Wichita, Kansas, to her parents Joseph Barnes and Wessie Turner-Barnes. Karen is survived by her beloved daughter, Arianna Kirk, her two cherished grandchildren, and her siblings, including her twin brother Kevin Barnes and brother Michael Barnes.
Karen pursued her education at Butler County Community College, where she developed a passion for learning and personal growth. Her dedication to her studies was a testament to her unwavering spirit and commitment to self-improvement.
Throughout her life, Karen touched the hearts of those around her with her kindness, compassion, and gentle nature. She had a special way of making everyone feel welcomed and valued in her presence, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.
In her community, Karen made significant contributions through her kindness and generosity, always ready to lend a helping hand to those in need. Her altruistic nature and willingness to support others made her a cherished member of society.
A memorial service to honor Karen's life will be held on March 15, 2024, from 5-7 PM at the Jackson Mortuary Chapel. This gathering will be an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who touched the lives of so many.
