Judy Lee Donnell, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2023, after a brief illness. She was 74 years old.

Judy was born in Wichita, Kansas to James and Frances Cotter. She spent the majority of her professional career as an x-ray technician, a medical office manager, and then returned to school to become an ultrasound technician.

Judy is survived by her loving sons, Rhett and Rik Dubiel, and her daughter-in-law Holly. Judy cherished her role as grandmother to two grandchildren, Hudson and Olivia Dubiel. She is survived by her sister, Vickie Bars, brother-in-law Tris, niece Jordan, and nephew Taylor. Judy had a large and loving blended family that she held very dearly: Michael and DeeAnne Dubiel, Chelsea Dyer, Tom and Michelle Donnell, Casey and Amy Donnell, and Reis and Katie Donnell. Judy also had a large extended family that included her social groups, former coworkers, and a son from a different mother, Eduardo Paiva Reis, his wife Patricia and their two children.

Judy loved to travel the world with her husband, James, and they had many wide-ranging adventures together over the years - from China to Brazil to Russia to New Zealand. Judy had many friends and loved to help others in whatever way she could. In recent years she became involved with Kansas Honor Flights following a trip to Washington, DC with her father.

A celebration of Judy's life will be announced in the coming weeks on social media. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made t o Kansas Honor Flights in Judy's memory.

Judy's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. She will be dearly missed and remembered for her kindness, laughter, inclusiveness, and the love she shared with her family and friends.
