Joyce Davis, 90, of Seward, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at home on August 28, 2025. Born on September 16, 1934, to Joe Moulder and Amelia Glover, Joyce was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who will be dearly missed by all who knew her. Joyce was a remarkable woman of great strength and resilience.
She obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Education, which paved the way for her rewarding career as an Elementary School Teacher in the Wichita USD259 School District. Her passion for education and her dedication to her students were evident in everything she did. She believed in the power of education and was committed to inspiring her students to reach for their dreams. Joyce was as much a teacher in her personal life as she was in her professional one. She passed on her values and life lessons to her children and grandchildren, teaching them about the importance of kindness, respect, and perseverance.
Her love for her family was immeasurable, and her home was always filled with warmth and laughter. Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Wayne W. Davis, and her parents, Joyce is survived by her children Craig (Kimberly) Davis, Kimmer (Floyd) Parks, Jennifer (Samuel) Wright, Deborah Davis, Michelle (Floyd) Perkins, and Marlon Davis. She is also survived by her siblings Darline Bennett, Martha Dawson, Joe, Henry, and Fred Moulder. Joyce was blessed with eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who brought immense joy and happiness into her life.
A service to celebrate Joyce's life will be held on Monday, September 8, 2025, at the Tabernacle Bible Church. She will be laid to rest at Lakeview Cemetery, alongside her beloved husband, Wayne. The family would like to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time. Joyce was a woman of grace, compassion, and wisdom. Her legacy will live on in the hearts and minds of those she leaves behind. Her love for her family, her dedication to her students, and her unwavering faith have left an indelible mark on all who had the privilege to know her. She will be remembered always for her kindness, her spirit, and her love.
