Jesse L. Staley, a devoted husband, loving father, esteemed grandfather, great-grandfather, and dedicated military veteran, passed away peacefully on May 3, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. Born on March 21, 1935, in Eufaula, Oklahoma, 

Jesse proudly served his nation as a member of the United States Air Force before retiring with honor. Following his military career, he continued to serve the community through his work as a mail handler for the United States Postal Service.

Jesse is survived by his beloved wife, Dora, His five children: Delbert, David Sr., Patrice, Jacqueline, and Curtis Staley. His legacy extends further to nineteen cherished grandchildren and thirty-six great-grandchildren, Jesse was also a cherished sibling to Arilla Hayes, Bessie Laws, and Eugene Staley.

The community will have the opportunity to honor Jesse’s life and celebrate his enduring legacy at the funeral service, held at Calvary Baptist Church located at 2653 North Hillside Street, Wichita, Kansas 67219. The service will commence promptly at 1:00 p.m. on May 16, 2026.

Following the funeral service, a graveside service will be held on May 18, 2026, at 1:00 p.m., concluding at 1:30 p.m., at Winfield Veterans Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas.
