James Garrett Jr., age 89, of Wichita, Kansas, passed peacefully from this life on May 17, 2025. Born on July 26, 1935, in Yahola, Oklahoma, to Lonnie Garrett and Roberta Owens. Retired United States Army Military Veteran.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Lonnie Garrett and Roberta Owens. The legacy of James's kind spirit, passion for life, and enduring love will be carried forward by his children, Anthony (Paula) Davis, Tommy (Chemical) Asberry, Alvin Garrett, and Karen (Roy) Garrett-Wilkins. His memory will also be cherished by his sister, Kathey Daniels, 27 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends.
