James L. Alexander, "Buff" a beloved son, father, brother, and friend, passed away on May 15, 2024, in his hometown of Wichita, Kansas at the age of 51. He was born on March 21, 1973, to his loving parents, Edith Alexander and late Rhea Hanna, and is survived by his mother, son Jayshawn, sister Kameelah, and brother Andre. Known for his infectious laughter and kind heart, Buff was a graduate of high school and held a Culinary Arts Certificate which reflected his passion for creating delicious meals. His love for people was evident in his desire to make everyone around him laugh and feel cherished. He had a special way of brightening up any room he entered and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
In addition to his warm personality, Buff made contributions to his community through his acts of kindness and generosity. He had a knack for bringing people together and his impact on those around him will be felt for years to come.
A service to celebrate Buff's life will be held on Friday, May 31, 2024, at 11:00AM at New Hope Missionary Baptist Church in Wichita, Kansas. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and share memories of Buff during this time of remembrance.
While Buff may no longer be with us in person, his memory will live on through the love he shared and the laughter he brought to all. May he rest in peace knowing he was cherished and appreciated by many.
Rest in peace, Buff. Your spirit will forever be a light in our hearts.
