Herbert Edward Amerson, peacefully passed away on June 19, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 73. He was born on January 24, 1951, in York, Alabama, to his late parents Herbert Amerson and Ollie Mae Lucky. Herb is survived by his devoted wife Beulah Jean Amerson, his children Marcus Corbin, Moshawn, and Michael Amerson, as well as his 3 cherished grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. He also leaves behind his siblings Tony A. Anderson, Mike, Brenda, Genora, Jeanette, and Faye Amerson, along with a host of other family members and friends who will deeply miss him.

Herb had a fulfilling career, serving as a 20 Year Air Force Military Veteran before becoming a respected member of the Wichita Police Department as a Police Officer. His dedication to serving his country and community was unwavering, leaving a lasting impact on those around him.

His warm personality, sense of humor, and unwavering kindness were just a few of the traits that made Herb a special presence in the lives of all who knew him. His ability to bring joy and comfort to others will be remembered fondly by those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A service to celebrate Herb's life will be held on Friday, June 28, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Living Water COGIC. A graveside service will take place on Monday, July 1, 2024, at 10:00 AM at Winfield Veteran Cemetery.

In remembrance of Herb, his family kindly requests that donations be made to a charity of your choice in his honor. Herb's memory will forever be cherished by all who were touched by his love and compassion.
