Gorman Alex Shaw, age 86, of Wichita, KS, passed away peacefully on January 29, 2026.

Born on August 24, 1939, in Waco, TX to Eugene and Pennsylvania Shaw, Alex lived a life defined by devotion to family and hard work.

Alex spent the majority of his career working as an expeditor at Boeing, where he retired after twenty-two (22) years of dedicated service. He was well-known for his love for playing dominoes and his obsession for maintaining a well-manicured lawn.  He also had a life-long affinity for the Dallas Cowboys.

Alex's greatest pride was his family. He is survived by his wife Esta Shaw, his children Cheryl Shaw, Alex Shaw, Jr., Keith (Tamra) Shaw, Ray Liggens and Damon Liggens; his grandchildren, Keri Robinson, Carmen Robinson, Robert Shaw, Jasmine Shaw, Christopher Shaw, Amber Shaw, Quearra Witcher, Shauntae Shaw, Talohr Shaw, Alexus Shaw, Brianna Liggens, James Beardslee, Alenah Liggens, Maliq Liggens, and Jarael Liggens; twenty plus great grandchildren and a host of cousins, nieces and nephews.  He also leaves behind his sister Dorothy Scott, Billy Shaw, Sr., Gill Shaw and Mittie Pearl Shaw.  He was preceded in death by his parents and sibling Lester Paul Shaw, Jack Shaw and Noradell Wiley.
