Gertrude Hamilton-Butler, passed away peacefully at the age of 82 on February 7, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born in San Marcos, Texas on January 31, 1942, to her parents, Cecil Hamilton and Izora Teague. Gertrude was preceded in death by her beloved husband Harold Butler, parents Cecil and Izora, and now joins them in eternal peace. She is survived by her cherished children Trina, Craig Butler, and Harold Butler Jr., who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Gertrude led a life filled with warmth and compassion, always putting her family first. Her nurturing spirit and unwavering love brought comfort to those around her. She was known for her infectious laughter, kind heart, and unwavering strength in the face of adversity.

Throughout her life, Gertrude found joy in simple pleasures, cherishing moments spent with loved ones. She had a passion for gardening, spending hours tending to her flowers and creating beauty in her surroundings. Her dedication to her family was unparalleled, and her legacy of love will live on through her children and grandchildren.

Gertrude's generous spirit and genuine kindness touched the lives of all who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will continue to inspire and bring comfort to those who were fortunate enough to have known her.

A service to celebrate Gertrude's life will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024, at 12:00 PM at Jackson Mortuary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a charity of your choice in Gertrude's honor.

As we bid farewell to Gertrude Hamilton-Butler, we remember her as a devoted wife, loving mother, and dear friend. May her soul rest in eternal peace, surrounded by the love and light she brought to the world.
