Gabriella Loree
Curry
March 31, 1990 – April 24, 2024
Gabriella L. Curry was born March 31, 1990, in Dallas, Texas to Allan Sparks and Charlotte (Johnson-Curry) Edwards. In 1995, her family relocated to Wichita, Kansas.
Gabriella accepted Jesus as her personal Lord and Savior as a youth and was baptized as a teen. She began her walk with the Lord at Breakthrough Ministries; Inc. Gabriella remained a "Pillar" of the ministry for 29 years. She was a Holy Ghost-filled, anointed young woman of God who blessed many, as she served God and His people in varying capacities such as the Dance Ministry, Temple Beautification Team, Sunday School Teacher and Praise and Worship. Gabriella continued her membership under the pastorship of Senior Pastor Wilma C. Foster until her transition into glory.
Gabriella was educated in the Wichita Public School System and graduated from Heights High School in 2008. Afterward, she attended and graduated from Butler County Community College and received an Associate of Elementary Education. She then transferred and earned a Bachelor of General Studies from Wichita State University. Gabriella pledged Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, the Undergraduate Mu Nu Chapter at Wichita State.
Gabriella started working after high school as a Substitute Teacher in 2011 for the Wichita Public School System. After earning her bachelor's degree, she continued to work with the Wichita Public School District as a Paraprofessional. Gabriella also served as a team member for the Project Youth Wellness program, as a Social Media Manager.
Gabriella was a loving daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin and friend who cared deeply for her family, friends and others, which quickly gave her the name G-Baby. She was best known for her love of fashion, lip gloss, nails, music, and spending time with family and friends. Gabriella's smile was so infectious that it could light up a room. She always wanted to give a kind word.
Gabriella leaves to celebrate her life and legacy her parents: Allan Sparks (Texas) and Charlotte (Kirk Jr.) Edwards (Kansas); her siblings: Kirk Edwards III and Chloe Edwards (Kansas); grandparents: Wilma (Henry) Foster (Kansas), Bob (Doris) Johnson (Mississippi) and Roe Brigham (Texas); her aunts: Dr. Christy Curry-Royal (Kansas), Florence Kerl (Texas), and Sharonda Westerhaus; her uncles: Terrell (Maria) Curry (Kansas), Cedric Curry (Kansas), and Glen Wilson (Texas); very close cousin & "brother": Benjamine Royal (Kansas), and a host of other relatives, friends, and acquaintances.
