Ms. Frances Louise Templeton-Clark was born in Blackwell, Arkansas on September 23, 1942, to Mrs. Helen
Luella Moore Templeton and Mr. Hillery Templeton. Both preceded her in death. She was the 5th child of 7
children. Frances was baptized at an early age. She attended St. Matthews #3 Missionary Baptist Church in
Blackwell, Arkansas. Frances was a gifted child. She started playing the piano at the age of 6. After she graduated high school, she went to AM&N College, now known as UAPB University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff. She earned her Bachelor of Science Degree in Music. In 1967, Frances moved to Marina, California where she met Floyd Clark. They married and were stationed in Germany. Their one and only son, Andre J. Clark, was born there. When Frances and her family returned to Blackwell, Arkansas. She taught music at Menifee Middle School until moving to Wichita, Kansas. She became a member and pianist at New Jerusalem Missionary Baptist Church. In 1988, Frances moved to Junction City, Kansas. She became a member and pianist for 2nd Baptist Church for over 30 years. Her hobbies were putting puzzles together and watching NFL football and MLB baseball. Her team was them
Kansas City Chiefs! She tried not to miss a game. And her baseball team was the Kansas City Royals. But her favorite thing to do was play the piano… that was her love! And she loved being around her grandkids.
Frances moved to Wichita, Kansas in 2019 to spend time with her son and daughter-in-law Patricia and the
grandchildren Aaliyah, Aubrey, and Destiny.
Preceding her in death: her mother, Helen Luella Moore Templeton; her father, Mr. Hillery Templeton; and her
brother, George Templeton. Those she leaves to cherish her memories: her son, Andre J. Clark (Patricia A. Randle); grandchildren: Aaliyah B. Randle, Aubrey S. Clark, and Destiny L. Clark; her brother, Lee Templeton (Ophelia) of Wichita, KS; her sisters, Preola Briggs of Olathe, KS, Joyce Brown of Wichita, KS, Helen Tolbert of Emporia, KS, and Violet Carter of Bloomington, MN; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
