Fabian R. Herndon

Fabian R. Herndon, age 51, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 31, 2026, in Wichita, Kansas. He was born on August 22, 1975, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to Gary Herndon and Janet Howard. Fabian graduated from Southeast High School and went on to build a career as a certified chef and dietary manager. He took great pride in his work and in the care he provided to others. Fabian was known for his outgoing personality and his wonderful sense of humor. He was funny, kind, and loving, and he had a great smile and an unforgettable laugh. His warm personality and ability to make others smile will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Fabian found great happiness with the love of his life, TiLynn Scott. He asked TiLynn to marry him on September 22, 2025, and the couple had planned to be married on September 18, 2027. Their love and the life they shared will remain a cherished part of Fabian's memory. Fabian is survived by his fiancée, TiLynn Scott of Grand Island, Nebraska; his father and stepmother, Gary and Yolanda Herndon of Wichita; brothers, Lamont Herndon of Phoenix, Ardell Herndon and fiancée Karla Molina of Wichita, and his sister, Yukie Tisdale of Wichita. He is also survived by his daughter, Aubrey Stangl of Oklahoma; his sons, Darius Herndon of Texas, Xavier Herndon and fiancée Tara Coleman of Texas, and Xavier and Logan Bressie of Kansas. Fabian leaves behind his beloved grandchildren, Sal, Ariana, and Tank Osborne, and Adalynn and Athena Herndon, as well as his nephew Jayden Herndon and niece Sofia Herndon, who brought great joy and love into his life. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Howard. A private memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at a private residence in Wichita, Kansas. Fabian will be remembered for his kindness, humor, laughter, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
