Ester Duckett - Smith, aged 72, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully in her home on July 22, 2025. Ester was born on September 2, 1952, in Wagoner, Oklahoma, to Earnest Duckett and Jeweline Brown.

Ester was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Her family was her pride and joy, and she loved and supported them with all her heart.

Ester spent her professional career as a Sheet Metal Assembler at Boeing Aircraft. She dedicated many years to this work before retiring.

Ester was preceded in death by her beloved husband Edward Earl Smith Jr., and her parents Earnest Duckett and Jeweline Duckett. She is survived by her children Demetria Smith-Hillary, Twylin Smith, Tawanda Rhone, Edward Smith III, 18 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of brothers & sisters, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was a pillar of strength in her family and will be greatly missed by all those who were fortunate to have known and loved her.

A service to celebrate Ester\'s life will be held at St. Mark UMC on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at 10:00 AM. Ester will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery following the service.
