Emanuel Webster Henley peacefully passed away on September 20, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 99. Born on March 8, 1925, in Hennessey, Oklahoma, he was an avid gardener both by passion and profession, renowned for his exquisite landscapes. A dedicated member of Grant Chapel AME Church since the early 1950s, Emanuel was well-regarded for his contributions to the men's choir and his service in the church kitchen.

Mr. Henley was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Alyce Henley, to whom he was married for nearly 70 years. Together, they welcomed one child, Patricia Y. Love, embracing her husband, Robert Love, as a son.

Emanuel's legacy extends through his four grandchildren: Niki Childers (Jarrod), Chez Harrison, Mik Love (Lydia), and Jalen Love, as well as six great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate Emanuel's life will be held on Friday, October 4, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Grant Chapel AME, followed by burial at Resthaven Cemetery.
