Eileen Lavern Zachry, age 77, of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2025. Eileen was born on November 10, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas to Leanna Anderson and Lee Zachry.  Eileen was a proud graduate of Wichita East High School.

She was known for her warm spirit and her commitment to her loved ones. Throughout her life, Eileen was a beacon of strength and courage, touching the lives of everyone she knew with her kindness and compassion.

Eileen was preceded in death by her father, Lee Zachry, and her mother, Leanna Anderson. She is survived by her children, Myishea Taylor and Tonnell Zachry, her siblings: Florence Wilson, Delores Pendleton, Renetta, Dianna, Robert, and Leonard Zachry, and her nine cherished grandchildren.

Eileen will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family, her strength in the face of adversity, and her enduring spirit. She left a lasting impact on those she encountered, and her memory will continue to inspire and encourage all who knew her.

A service to celebrate her life will be held Friday, September 19, 2025, at 10:00 AM at the Faith Mission Church of God in Christ. Eileen will be laid to rest at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Eileen's legacy of love, kindness, and strength will live on through her family and the countless lives she touched. Our hearts are filled with sorrow, but also with gratitude for having had the privilege of sharing in Eileen's life. Her spirit will forever remain in our hearts. As we remember Eileen, we celebrate the life of a remarkable woman who gave so much of herself to others. Her love and memories will forever be a part of us.
