Dwayne Latney, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle and friend, passed away peacefully at
the age of 63 on October 27, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. His loss leaves a void in the hearts of many,
as he touched the lives of everyone he met with his warmth, kindness, and charm.

On July 28 th , 1991, Dwayne married the love of his life Julie. With this union they had four beautiful
children, Kiara, Shenqual, Payton and Miyah. Dwayne's warm friendly smile was inviting. He never
met a stranger. It was always a pleasure to be in his presence. He loved family gathering and
entertaining friends. He and Julie hosted many Bid Whist nights, sometimes playing cards and
listening to music into the early morning hours. There were a lot of conversations and laughter during
these gatherings.

Dwayne also loved to travel, he has been to Hawaii and 46 of the lower 48 states.
Dwayne was a devoted family man, survived by his wife Julie Latney, his children, Kiara (Romaine)
Green, Shenqual (Aaron) Kelly and Payton, five grandchildren JaVon, Tristen, Nevaeh, Henry and
Georgiana, two sisters, Denae Lyons and Pandora Parker, brother-in law Miguel Lyons, stepmother
Mary Ann Latney, nephew Antoine Latney, niece Reecee Parker and his dearest friend Terry
Anderson. Dwayne was proceeded in death by his parents Oliver W. and Dartha Latney and his
daughter Miyah.

His legacy will undoubtedly be the love, wisdom, and strength he instilled in his family.
