Dorothy Mae Ross - James, passed away on March 2, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas, at the age of 89. She was born on May 17, 1935, in Georgia to the late Robert Ross and Lucille Busey. Dorothy was a beloved mother to two sons Herbert McDonald and Gerald McDonald which preceded her in death. Cherished grandmother to 5 grandchildren: Randy McDonald, Jermaine McDonald, Cory Thomas, Ashley McDonald-Ketchum and Ajia McDonald, a proud great-grandmother to 15 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Emma Griffin, who held a special place in her heart.

A service to celebrate Dorothy's life will be held on Friday April 4, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Eastside COGIC, followed by her burial at Maple Grove Cemetery.

Dorothy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her, but her legacy of love and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved her. Rest in peace, dear Dorothy, knowing that you were truly special and will never be forgotten.
