Dorothy L. Blackwell - Adams, 89, passed away peacefully on July 1, 2025, in Wichita, Kansas. Born to Essie L. Blackwell and her loving husband on September 25, 1935, in Pensacola, Florida, Dorothy led a life filled with joy, resilience, and a profound love for her family.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Adams, and her mother, Essie L. Blackwell. She is survived by her children; Sonya Coffman, Carlos Adams, Christina Maloney, Alonzo Adams; her sister, Edwena Jones; her six grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Dorothy's family was her pride and joy, and she leaves behind a legacy of love and strength.

A funeral service will be held in Dorothy's honor Thursday July 17, 2025, at 10 AM at the Jackson Mortuary Chapel. Burial will follow funeral service in Winfield Veteran Cemetery at 1:00 PM in Winfield, KS. Those wishing to pay their respects are welcome to join the family as they bid their final farewell to a remarkable woman.
