Delores Shanklin, formerly a longtime resident of Wichita, Kansas, passed away peacefully on October 1, 2025, in Lawton, OK at the age of 89. She was a force of nature, a source of endless laughter, and the heart of her family.

Ms. Shanklin was born July 29, 1936, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the 3rd of 9 children of Clifford Anderson and Elnora Henderson.  She attended school and grew up in Checotah, Oklahoma. She is survived by her children, Deborah Williams, Marjorie G. Smith, and Lawanda Berry of Wichita, Kansas; LaDonna Muse (Philip), of Lawton, OK; Kendra P. Hithe, of Kansas City, Kansas; two brothers, Emual T. Anderson (Marie) of Bel Aire, Kansas; and Harry Anderson, of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; 19 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, 4 great, great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends, who loved her dearly.

She will be profoundly missed.
