Crystal Danette Crawford, 56, of Arlington, Texas, passed away on January 16, 2024. Crystal, as she was affectionately known, was born on June 19, 1967, in Wichita, Kansas. Daughter of Linda Clayton, Walter Clayton Sr and Bob Hoskins. She was a beloved sister to Terrie Clayton-Stevens, Michael and Shelly Clayton, Kate and Robert Hoskins, Kelly, Walter Jr, Ariel and Zachary Clayton. Crystal is also survived by her nephews and nieces Bridrek Stevens, Briya Clayton, Michael Clayton Jr, Kaylin Clayton, Demajia Clayton, Braelyn Jones as well as her grandmother, Geraldine Morris.

She also leaves behind a host of relatives including aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.

She has left a lasting impact on the people that known her from Tennessee, Philadelphia, North Carolina, Wichita and Dallas.

Crystal was a very loving person who cherished her family and friends dearly. She had a contagious laughter that brightened the lives of those around her. Crystal was also a very private individual who valued her personal space. She had a passion for traveling to Africa and studying African culture and history.

Crystal attended Wichita North High School and later pursued higher education at Wichita State University. She excelled in her studies and was dedicated to expanding her knowledge.

In 2012, Crystal began her career as a PBX Operator at JPS Hospital, where she worked diligently until her passing of January 2024.

She was known for her professionalism, leadership and dedication to her role.

Outside of work, Crystal had a variety of hobbies that brought her joy. She enjoyed reading, researching various topics, watching Nollywood movies, and deepening her understanding of African studies.

Crystal Danette Crawford will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her infectious laughter, love for her family, and passion for learning will forever be remembered. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
