Charles Edward Carlis 9/22/1943- 4/3/2025

Charles Edward Carlis, age 81, a resident of Muskogee, Oklahoma
peacefully transitioned, Thursday, April 3,2025 in Cypress, Texas surrounded by family.

On September 22,1943, a baby boy was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma to Lonnie and Elnora Carlis, he was given the name Charles.  Charles attended the Church of Christ and received his formal education in Muskogee attending; Dunbar and Sadler Elementary schools, and Manual Training High School, in the graduating class of 1962. He played football while attending school and also enjoyed fishing with his brother and father whenever there was time.  After graduating Charles enlisted in the United States Airforce, after his military time he moved to Wichita, Kansas and worked for Cessna until retirement.  Charles in previous marriages had 3 children, he is currently married to Annette Phillips-Carlis and resided in Denver, Colorado until his health required him to relocate to Texas to be cared for by his children.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lonnie and Elnora Carlis, and his brother; Kenneth Lonnie Carlis.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Annette Carlis, his children Kim Carlis- Canady (Rickey), San Antonio, TX, Monica Carlis, Dallas, TX , and, Marcus Carlis (Velmeta), Cypress, TX, he also has a Step Daughter, Stephanie Love, Denver Colorado, 8 grandchildren, Bryson Anderson, Nyla Ridley, DeVontez Standifer, Miah Carlis, London Carlis, Ryleigh Watson, Joshua Love (Kendahl), and Tiffany Love, 1 great grandson, Namari Sampson, 3 nieces, Donetta London, DeAun Carlis-Anding (Marlon), and LaTonya Carlis-Wyatt (Jerry), and a host of relatives and friends.
