Carolyn Rutledge-Scott, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2024 in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 66. She was born on January 15, 1958, in Chicago, IL, to her late parents J.D. Rutledge and Rosa Nell Rutledge.

survived by her devoted husband George Scott, her cherished children Joel and Carlina Scott, and her adored grandchildren. Carol is also survived by her loving sisters, Denise Durham and Karen Rutledge, who meant the world to her.

She found fulfillment in her career as a cook at Friends University. Her culinary skills were not only a career but also a passion and a creative outlet that brought joy to those who tasted her dishes.

A service to celebrate Carol's life will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at 3:00 PM at Jackson Mortuary Inc. in honor of the legacy she leaves behind.
