Billy Joe Walker, known to his loved ones as simply "Billy", peacefully passed away on September 18, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 88. He was born in the small town of Rosedale, Oklahoma on July 5, 1936.

Survived by his loving daughter Cornelia Walker, his sons Carl, Darrin, Maurice Walker, and a large extended family of 20 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his beloved parents.

Having served in the Navy, Billy was a veteran who dedicated his life to serving his country. Following his military service, he worked as a janitor for USD 259, where he became known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his job.

A service to honor and remember Billy's life will be held on Thursday, October 3, 2024, at Jackson Mortuary at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest at Winfield Veterans Cemetery on Monday, October 7 at 11:00AM
