Barbara Lorance

Barbara Marks Lorance was born in Clearview, Oklahoma to the marriage of Rebecca and Joseph Marks. She was the seventeenth child of eighteen children. She attended and graduated from Weleetka High School.

In 1985, Barbara and Kevin Lorance were united in marriage beginning a beautiful journey of love and devotion that would span 40 years.

Barbara dedicated 17 years of her life to Excel Meat Processing. After its closure, she continued her journey at Farmland where she worked faithfully for 18 years until her retirement. She took great pride in her work and was also a union steward with both companies. She will be lovingly remembered for her dedication and steadfast spirit.

Barbara found great joy in cooking and baking and her pies were memorable and cherished by many. She also treasured traveling with Kevin and together they shared many memorable journeys over the years.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Rebecca Marks; Brothers Lonnie Marks, Jimmy Marks, Joseph Marks, Derea Marks; Sisters Martha Bradley¸ Addie Lewis¸ Orea Tyler¸ Merilene Edwards, Imogene Jordan, and Wanda K. Scott; Grandson Dean Harris.

Survived by her devoted husband Kevin Lorance; her brother Otis Marks; and her sisters Sylvia Selmon (Chester), Helen Sparks, and Reba Newman.

She will be forever cherished by her children Everr Lee Hendrix, Carla Boyd, Bradford Boyd (Shawne), and Braddock Boyd (Carmen); her sister-in-law Vivian Lorance; 12 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
