Armelia Alice Pate-Chaney, peacefully passed away at the age of 89 on July 26, 2024, in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on May 14, 1935, in Muskogee, Oklahoma, to her parents Roosevelt Pate and Earnestine Culton.Pate,  Armelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband David Chaney, who awaits her in eternity, and her dear parents. She is survived by her children,  31 grandchildren, 45 great-grandchildren, and 10 great-great-grandchildren, who will always cherish her memory and legacy.

Armelia's contributions to her community were significant and lasting. Through her work and interactions, she touched the lives of many, leaving behind a positive impact on those who had the privilege of knowing her. Her warm smile, generous spirit, and wisdom will be dearly missed by all.

A wake will be held on Friday, August 9, 2024, from 5-7 PM at St. Andrews B.C., followed by services on Saturday, August 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Tabernacle Bible Church.  Armelia will be laid to rest at White Chapel Cemetery, where she will rest in peace alongside her late husband.

In honoring Armelia's memory, may we remember her kindness, strength, and unwavering love. She will forever remain a beacon of light in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing her. Rest in peace, dear Armelia, your legacy will live on in the hearts of many.
